Underwater World Singapore Slashes Ticket Prices For Dec 2012

In less than a week after the opening of the bigger and better facility of Marine Life Singapore, Singapore's very first aquarium, Underwater World Singapore, has announced on Tuesday that they are having a promotion for the whole of next month (December 2012) by a huge cut of their ticket prices. However, this promotion is applicable for Singapore Residence only!

Details of the Promotion are (Prices are in SGD):

Usual Prices       December 2012 Promotional Prices 
Adult - $25.90     $15.00
Child - $17.60     $0.00 
(one free child entry per one adult ticket holder)

Opening Hours for Underwater World Singapore : Open daily from 10am to 7pm 
(last admission at 6.30pm)


In short, you just need to pay $15 for 1 adult and 1 child entrance! Isn't it cool?

[NEWS] Dolphin Wen Wen Heading To Marine Life Park Dies

One of the male Dolphin, Wen Wen (estimated to be 10 years old) dies yesterday while on its way to Marine Life Park Singapore. He is one of the 11 dolphins on the three-hour long flight from the Philippines heading to Singapore on Thursday and passed away on plane, one hour before reaching Singapore.
 
A Marine Life Park spokesperson said that there were two marine mammal veterinarians and eight marine mammal specialists accompanying and monitoring the dolphins. The dolphins were also given thorough medical examinations and were deemed healthy before the move.
 
According to the park, a necropsy was perform on the dead dolphin yesterday, with officials from Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority present.
 
This incident also provoked an outcry among animal lovers, who questioned the need for dolphins in the park for educational purposes.
 
On the side news, another 14 dolphins have already been transported earlier this week from Subic Bay, Philippines. They were kept for training.

River Safari Singapore - Sneak Preview Of Jia Jia And Kai Kai On 29/11/2012

Besides the Marine Life Park to be launched tomorrow (21/11/2012), on 29th November 2012 (Thu), River Safari will be having a soft launch for the sneak preview of Jia Jia and Kai Kai.

Who are Jia Jia (Female) and Kai Kai (Male)? Actually, they are the talk of the town (in Singapore) recently, they are non other than the cute pandas loaned from China Government and will be one of the key featured exhibit at River Safari.

Marine Life Park (MLP) Singapore To Be Opened Tomorrow, 22/11/2012 (Thu)

On this coming Thanksgiving (Tomorrow, 22/11/2012), Singapore will be officially adding yet another theme park (under the helm of Resourts World Sentosa (RWS)) - Marine Life Park (MLP).

Basically, MLP comprises of two ares, S.E.A Aquarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark. Separate entrance fee is required for each of them. S.E.A Aquarium's Open Ocean tank (with 49 habitats) will feature the world's largest aquarium viewing panel, measuring 36m wide and 8.3 m tall (current holder is The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, measuring 32.88m wide and 8.3m tall).

LEGOLAND Malaysia - First Ever International Theme Park

This being the first post of the blog, thought it is just right for me to share why the blog exists in the first place.

I am from a country deemed as a little red dot in the world map (read Singapore) and like to visit theme parks (or amusement parks) a lot. Whenever I went overseas, theme park(s) will definitely be in the itinerary. So, I thought why not share out some useful theme parks related resources here for all the liked minded? Hence, the born of "Hot Theme Parks". 

Besides the official theme park related resources, wherever available, I will also include the following:
a. Resources on the deals/discounts (e.g. from Groupon, Deals etc...) available for the the theme park 
b. My personal review/experience of the theme park (if applicable).
